Independence celebration.
The association will be taking part at the UPNG Oval during the 49th Anniversary celebration of the Independence this Monday.
The leaders of the association have decided to just let the students dance the Ronki way of dance in the Kove Kaliai district because it might not require too many traditional attires, it’s a contemporary type of dance.
Limited timing and hosting the major fundraising dance has already exhausted their funds.
The rehearsal are going on at the Forth Banner and the students who are interested in participating are all practicing there.
It’s more like a contemporary type of dance, they will dance without kundu drums.
This type of dance is easy and doesn’t require so many things like traditional bilas, kundu drums because here in the city there are not enough traditional attires.
Bringing traditional attires from their home province will require money too.
The students who will be participating at the mini show are pleased to show a part of West New Britain and hoped for a better celebration.
